Two-day rainfall totals across south-central Kansas include 7.29 inches in Valley Center and 6.52 inches in El Dorado, according to the National Weather Service. Wichita has had 15.48 inches of rain so far this year, compared to an average of 13.15 inches that Wichita typically sees by this time of the year. There are chances of rain later this week and weekend, but it should be lighter amounts than Tuesday, weather forecasters say.
